🍽️ Restaurant Weeks Return!
Providence Restaurant Weeks is happening from January 26 to February 8, with more than 60 places to try in Providence, Warwick, South Kingstown, and beyond. Diners can enjoy special prix fixe menus, drink deals, and fun new restaurants such as CRU PVD and Dolce & Salato. Organized by the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau, the event invites you to share your tasty finds on social media with #PVDEats and #PRW. New Look for Providence 🌳
Former Mayor Joseph Paolino Jr. wants to make downtown Providence greener and more welcoming. Inspired by a trip to Chicago, he hired Traverse Landscape Architects to suggest ways to add trees, fix sidewalks, and improve lighting in key corridors like Friendship, Dorrance, Pine, and Fulton Streets. Paolino hopes these ideas will attract businesses and visitors, all while making the city safer and more pleasant. Current Mayor Brett Smiley and the Providence Foundation both support this plan as a great starting point. The next steps include finding funding and partners to help turn these ideas into real changes in the city. To view the current plan click here.
