Iconic Restaurant for Sale & Our Updated Event List

+ Skating rink upgrades & Waterman Grille re-opens

Good morning, Providence. This is PVD Current, the newsletter that’s as helpful as a warm pair of gloves on these cold days.

What to expect in today’s Current:

  • This weekend’s events ❗️

  • East-side restaurant for sale 🌮

  • Providence Rink improvements ⛸️

Let’s get to it.

Coastal Cafe Chronicles

Where I Tried: Little City Coffee & Kitchen (170 Mathewson St, Providence, RI 02903)

What I ordered: Small iced mocha with oat milk + chocolate chip cookie

What it cost: $8.64

If you have any suggestions for cafes you want to see respond to this email! So far I’ve done 14 and feel like I’m starting to run low on new ones to discover.

Little City was really good. You can’t park on the street in front of it, and depending on when you go parking nearby will be tough. I ended up parking near PPAC. They have some seating inside and outside. They have a combination of pastries and sandwiches you can order and a wide variety of drinks. Out of all the places I’ve tried so far, this was one of the cheapest, which is surprising because my drink and cookie were on par with other spots I’ve tried that charge $11+. I’ll definitely be going back to try a sandwich and grab another coffee.

Reply to this email with how many guesses it took you!
