PVD Current is a triweekly email newsletter sent out every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6 am. The purpose of PVD Current is to provide current Providence news and stories. We care about covering topics that are interesting and important but aren’t divisive. We choose to not cover any crime, or other topics that leave you feeling worse than before you read.

PVD Current is founded by Oscar Punchak. Oscar Punchak was born in Providence and has lived here for nearly 21 years. The idea for PVD Current was sparked because Oscar thought there should be a place to read about fun and important news/events in Providence, without needing to comb through crime and negative reporting to find it.
