What's the Construction at India Point Park?
Site improvements are coming to the park
Happy Wednesday 👋 ,
We’re halfway to the weekend. There hasn’t been much news to cover this week but I cover a cool update about India Point Park. Also, make sure to look at our Coastline Commerce section to check out the wild 300 sqft condo for sale for $249,900 downtown!
I hope you enjoy this edition.

India Point Park as of 8/13/24
If you’re like me, you’ve been through India Point Park this summer and wondered what was up with the stones ripped out of the ground, the heavy machinery, and the chain link fence surrounding the foot of the park.
Earlier today, I Googled what was going on and found nothing. So I spent the next hour and a half trying to figure it out. After a few Reddit posts and some Providence databases, I found out what was happening.
The perimeter of the park along the water is getting completely redone.
What does that actually mean?
Well as you can see from the picture, they are first removing everything currently along the perimeter. Once this is complete, they are going to begin the revamp, which includes:
New pathways made with new pavement, concrete pavers, and granite bollards.
New benches: some made of wood, some made of granite, and even some swinging!
Expanded playground with new equipment.
New trash receptacles, lighting, and landscaping.
Now, I couldn’t find much more information on this, like an estimated end date or anything more in depth. But I am satisfied with what I found, and I answered my question.
Soon enough, we will have a brand-new section of the park to enjoy.
