Federal Grant to Fund Greener Roads 🌱

The R.I. Department of Transportation (RIDOT) received a $31.9 million federal grant to incorporate low-carbon materials into over 60 construction projects, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Funded by the Inflation Reduction Act, the grant will enable RIDOT to identify and implement innovative materials aligned with the state’s emissions reduction goals. Congressional leaders and RIDOT officials emphasized the importance of modernizing infrastructure with sustainable and resilient practices.
Rhode Island FC Celebrates Fans ⚽🎉

Following an impressive first season and an Eastern Conference Title, Rhode Island FC will host a celebratory block party at The Guild in Pawtucket tonight from 5-8 pm. Fans can meet players, take photos with the trophy, and enjoy free activities like live music and face painting. Intus Care Inc., a healthcare startup founded by Brown University students, raised $11.2 million to expand its predictive analytics platform for seniors on Medicare and Medicaid. The platform uses data from health records and social determinants to forecast risks and improve care. This follows a $14.1 million Series A round in 2022, reflecting growing support for its innovative approach to geriatric health management.
