Let’s get to it.

Coastal Cafe Chronicles

Where I Tried: Coffee Connection (32 Custom House St, Providence, RI 02903)

What I ordered: Small iced mocha with almond milk + chocolate croissant

What it cost: $8.22

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the order I always get when doing these reviews. I like to keep it consistent to keep the reviews fair. Iced mocha + chocolate croissant = go-to order.

Coffee Connection in Providence is tucked away downtown off of Weybosset Street. I really like the building and the area it’s in, but it can be a bit annoying to find parking. I’d suggest going at a quiet time or being okay with walking a bit.

The croissant was very sweet, enough that I had to cut it and only eat half. I definitely enjoyed the coffee (which I get frequently from their Smithfield location). The price seems fair compared to other spots I’ve tried.

I recommend checking Coffee Connection out, and maybe pairing it with something like the Providence Flea, because they aren’t far apart (10-minute walk). Feel free to reply to this email with places I should try next.

I’m testing a new thing out today. I hope you guys enjoy it. It’s a Providence-themed wordle game, this word is 6 letters. Click the button above to play, and let me know how many tries it takes you!

New Mural Comes to Downtown 🖼️

The City of Providence has commissioned a new mural downtown to celebrate the history of theater, Providence’s Chinese American and Southeast Asian communities, and LGBTQ+ contributions in Downtown Providence. The 27ft by 85ft mural by artist Lauren YS is located at 40 Snow Street. You can check out the City of Providence’s official statement here to read about the meaning of the imagery used in the mural.
